Change is good!

As many of you are aware, Lawless Comic Con is a small but niche convention that caters to a community of comic fans from across the UK and as far abroad as the USA.

We operate from a selection of conference rooms at the Doubletree by Hilton in Bristol, and one of the rooms is set aside as the dealer room. We have thirteen tables available in the dealer room.

Historically Trader Tables have gone on sale at the end of January and, for those that know, they have sold out within MINUTES!

We get a lot of emails and messages throughout the year requesting trader tables for the show, so this year we’re trying something different. Taking a page out of Thought Bubbles comic-con, we’ve decided to put together an application process.

This is to enable you to have plenty of time to put your request in, and for us to try and give everyone a fair shot at securing a table. Unfortunately, this will mean that you guys who have been coming faithfully for years, might not get a shot (sorry!). But it also means that we can hopefully offer a wide variety of different types of traders, and those that miss that mad ten minute dash for tables have the opportunity to (finally!) bag one.

So here’s the plan…

Applications will be OPEN from the 15th September until the 1st December.

Applications can be made by completing the form on the main traders page. The link/form will be available to compete from the 15th September. A follow up email and an announcement on social media will also confirm that applications are open.

Complete the form with all your details. Tell us about your cool shit. Tell us why its awesome and why everyone at Lawless should see it. Please don’t just point us to your website/blog/recommendation/boy scout badge!

Once the deadline of the 1st December passes, we’ll collate all the forms and review. We like to make announcements at Christmas time, so we’ll email you if you have been successful or unsuccessful within a fortnight or so.

If successful, we’ll add your details onto the website and make proper announcements. The Guest List is usually announced around this time too.

There is a room rate at the Doubletree if you are staying, but get in quick because they sell out fast! Click here

Community Spirit

Bribes won’t be accepted, but we do appreciate quick wit and knowledge of the Lawless community.

Cancellation List

If you are unsuccessful, Yes of course we’ll put you on a Cancellation List and let you know if anything comes available.

Can we still book trader tables the old way?

No, we will not be selling trader tables on a separate basis via the ticket site. Hopefully the new Application Process will allow for a smoother trader system and everyone gets more of a chance at a table.

Application Deadline

No, you can’t apply once applications have closed on the 1st December. If you’re too late, then you’re too late – sorry!

We wish you all good luck with your applications over the next few months. We’re very much looking forward to seeing what you’ve got!
